After gaining a Master’s degree in Architecture, Svetlana left her hometown of Novi Sad and moved to Italy to continue her education. This path lead her to Istituto Europeo di Design in Venice, where she gained a master’s degree in Yacht Design and Construction. For the next few years, she worked in a variety of interior and yacht design studios. In 2011 she came back to Serbia and opened her own studio Salt & Water. Today, Svetlana holds several international awards in design and entrepreneurship and is considered an experienced lecturer in these fields.
At the Belgrade Design Week 2010, she was declared “One of the 10 most successful creatives that have marked the previous year in the creative industry of Serbia”. Afterwards, she has earned several prestigious entrepreneurship awards, including the “Success Flower for a Dragon Woman 2013” award by the Association of Business Women in Serbia. In 2014. Salt & Water was declared “The Best Start-Up in the Balkans” by the Balkan Women Coalition B-WCo. The competition included female entrepreneurs from eight countries.
Svetlana spent a decade on the national sailing team of Serbia, and she is still an active judge in the international competitions.
In May 2016, Svetlana appeared on national television where she talked about her work, outstanding projects and her relations with various clients.
