After the 10 years of work our clients decided to renovate the existing reception, so they can get an exclusive and more attractive space. This object’s location is in the protected area of the city. This is why we needed to renovate it in a way it can match its location. Also, we decided to interpret the secession in the modern way (secession is what Subotica is well-known all across Europe).

We covered the big decorative wall with the fabric and the fluid shapes surround the logo of the hotel. The central motifs for the pillars are the uniquely designed tiles made by the worldwide famous factory Zolnai. The copper is on the different parts of the furniture, completing the space by its texture and color. The very specific details are the perforated metal surfaces – their design originates from the symbol of the hotel Galleria. We even matched the decoration with the new concept – the art pieces are monochromatic ceramic surfaces with floral motifs.

The look of the space is completed by granite ceramics and walnut linings. The space in front of the reception wasn’t looking very nice. We destroyed the existing temporary object and made a mini square with the fountain. The square is at the same time a piece of art, surrounded by fluid urban street furniture. Altogether it is an additional space which guests can enjoy at, warmer and more comfortable.

We have the same mission for all of our projects – the form should be followed by function. So we applied it here, too – by including stuff rooms, luggage storage, sanitary block, stairs. All the appliances needed for the hotel to work properly became part of the project so they don’t go out of the design and still do what they are supposed to.
