Which interior style is best for your small business?

The interior of your working space can tell so much about your business, your mission and, of course, about yourself. That is why you should be careful about designing the space you and/or your employees spend a lot of time at.
How to choose the interior style for your business?
1. Let it tell a story about what you do
What kind of business do you run? If it is creative one (marketing, graphic design, etc.) you might want the kind of space that supports the imagination or the one that can be used as a kind of gallery for your art… If you have your own product or idea you are proud of design space so there is a special place for it. We did something like this for one fashion company. By creating the neutral coloured frame, we assured the most important things are emphasized. At the very same time, small but powerful details put a focus on the company’s dedication to its clothes.

Actually, partners can find out a lot about your imagination just by watching the space you are working at. This is not all – have in mind that badly designed interior can lower the level of employees’ productivity.
Do you think about the future? Furthermore, do you create it? A futuristic look will tell everything about your vision. Famous Swiss electronics company “Advanced Silicon,” asked us for this kind of look. We decided to use modern lines and straight forms designing the interior that follows the company’s culture.
2. Pay attention to comfort and ergonomics
The style might be the very first thing that comes to mind when we say “interior” but don’t forget this place must be pleasant to stay at, too. The chairs must be comfortable if you plan to spend a lot of time using them. Desks mustn’t be too high or too low, so you don’t risk having bad migraines or back problems.
3. The interior should awake the special emotions
Interior’s design could evoke many positive feelings. This can be achieved by including the right texture of fabrics, choosing the specific finishes for walls, by inserting the good lighting with exact warmth and so on. A client of ours who is a lawyer, had in mind the true values and the space he can work in undisturbed. These were basic ideas and we followed them. Now, the classic style and warm colours help him and his team to build the trusting relationship with their clients. At the same time, the feelings of safety and reliability are emphasized.

4. Don’t forget the practical side
Make sure you are choosing the functionality for your business. The style comes second. For example, check if you will have enough space for moving or storing the documents/work tools. Always try to choose materials that are high quality, durable and easy to maintain.
5. Let the interior makes you stand out from the crowd
Atypical working space will make your partners and clients remember you easily. If you come to know how do working spaces of your competitors look, don’t make your one similar. One of our clients, notary, decided to have the piece of high fashion in her office. She got the very inspirational working space, without a single unnecessary or boring detail.
